Magazine printing

PMP Print produces magazines for a diverse range of publishers - from the region's largest consumer publishers, to publishers of niche, business, trade and specialty magazines.

With a long history of experience in the industry, we can provide all of the specialist advice required when printing a magazine. Our advanced printing technologies and highly qualified staff work to maximise the efficiency of the production process, delivering the highest quality, vibrant, true-to-life colour and making sure that our clients’ publications reach their readers on time. We also specialise in special production techniques that can increase the marketing effectiveness of their publications and contribute to their success in the marketplace.

Here’s just a sample of what we offer:

  • Full range of tip-ons, onserts (cover mounts) inserts and post it notes to assist in driving your advertising dollar.
  • Samples of a product or a smell: From the familiar Microfragrance Scratch-‘n’ Sniff to perfume for on-skin trials, we can apply scents to paper or labels which reveal a scent when rubbed or when a sticker is peeled back, or produce samplers for cosmetic and personal care products.
  • Die-cutting: Cutting and removing a section of paper or card in a variety of shapes.
  • 4 X 4 colour process printing: Our unique press can print up to eight colours in any combination, inclusive of PMS and metallic colours, in one pass saving time and money.
  • Glues: We have them all – heat-seal, pressure sensitive, remoistenable (just lick, fold and seal) among many others.
  • Subscription mailing services: Via our fully integrated subscription production and delivery model.
  • Perforating: Allows a portion to be easily removed and returned, for payment or change of address.
  • UV Drying: An alternative to heat-setting, using ultra-violet light which permits much heavier ink coverage and also prevents set-off and colour running.
  • Distribution: Gordon & Gotch, Australia’s biggest magazine distributor is part of the PMP Group and can ensure magazines get to the widest possible range of retail outlets.

Newspaper inserts

In the competitive newspaper environment, many publishers are now using heatset printing for inserts such as TV guides, real estate, lifestyle and travel supplements.

Heatset printing offers a range of stocks and formats well beyond the limitations of the traditional coldset newspaper printing process. Heatset publications also display vibrant colour and vitality, strengthening the attractiveness of the publication to advertisers and ensuring high quality reproduction of advertisements.
